Me and Jerry followed the Brejdak Gravel route from Janów Lubelski to Sandomierz. Day one gave us a bit of everything: some rain, some sun, the beautiful Janów Forests, the landscapes around Sandomierz, sandy roads, green fields, and those unreal loess ravines that make you forget about tired legs for a while. We weren’t in a hurry. We stopped, rested, looked around, enjoyed the ride, ate pizza, and kept moving at our own pace. Somewhere along the way we met riders from Watacha Gravel. They were racing. We were very much not. Same roads, completely different energy.

By the evening we reached Sandomierz, found dinner, found a hotel, and fully accepted the recovery part of the adventure. On day two we headed back to Janów, slightly modifying the Brejdak route to escape an incoming storm. It worked for a while. Then, of course, the rain found us anyway, and the last kilometres were wet, grey, and strangely perfect. Two days, one route, no rush, a lot of forest, a little weather drama, and that simple kind of happiness that comes from riding bikes with a friend.
